J. H. Larrabee is recorded in one advertisement that ran from November 2 to 23, 1859 in the Cazenovia Republican (Cazenovia, New York). A Card. The Subscriber Respectfully Informs the Citizens of Cazenovia and adjoining Towns, that the Photographs on exhibition in The North West Part Of Floral Hall At The Cazenovia Fair, were not made by Mr. Weld, as was supposed by many and intimated by some, but were made by the Subscriber At His Gallery In Chittenango where he is prepared, at all times to execute Plain and Colored Photographs, Ambrotypes, Melainotypes, and Pictures on Patent Leather, in a style not surpassed in or out of Madison County. Large Photographs made from small Daguerreotypes, and colored in Oil in a style truly wonderful, which need only to be seen to be admired. Perfect satisfaction warranted in all cases, or no charge.
