Collins was recorded in one advertisement that ran occasionally from October 29, 1846 to January 21, 1847 in the Vermont Watchman and State Journal (Montpelier, Vermont).  Daguerreotype Artists Look At This.  A Lot of Polishing Stone, and Rouge, and French Colors Prepared by the celebrated Chemist, Baker, of Philadelphia, just received, and for sale at the Drug Store of S. K. Collins.  October 21, 1846.
