William Williams, a young man nineteen years old, against whom were three indictments, pleaded guilty to burglary in the third degree, and was sent to the State Prison for three years. He said he was an ambrotype artist by profession. The City Judge was informed that he was a notorious burglar, although scarcely twenty years of age.
William Williams is not recorded in other photographic directories. It is unknow if he was in fact an ambrotypist, if he had a studio under his name or who he might have worked for in NYC or elsewhere.
