Sylvanus Ward was recorded in Craig’s Daguerreian Registry and in one advertisement that ran from May 14 to September 3, 1856 in the Westfield Republican (Westfield, New York). Daguerreotypes!!  Mr. S. Ward Is in town again where he will remain for two or three months for the purpose of taking pictures that will please his customers or no sale.
