C. A. Jourdan was recorded in an advertisement that ran from January 18 to May 24, 1853 in the St. Lawrence Republican (Ogdensburgh, New York). Daguerreotype Gallery, King and Averell Block, Ford St. Daguerreotypes taken daily, from 9 A. M. until 4 P. M,, in cloudy as well as clear weather.

On Dress.  Figured or dark dresses of any material excepting velvet, are preferable for Ladies, and for Children light or figured dresses.  For Children, about mid-day is the best time to sit.  Pictures all times accurately copied.  Sick or deceased persons taken at their residences, if required.  C.
