Smucker was recorded in one announcement and one advertisement in The Planters’ Banner (Franklin, Louisiana).  The announcement appeared on March 21, 1850.    Daguerrean Miniatures.—By reference to our advertising columns it will be seem that Mr. P. B. Smucker has opened a Daguerrean Gallery at the Ball-Room in the Odd-Fellows’ Building in this place.  He has some splendid specimens of miniatures taken by him, and invites the public generally to call and examine them.

The advertisement ran from March 21 to April 25, 1850.  Daguerrean Gallery, In the Ball-Room of the Odd-Fellows’ Hall.  P. B. Smucker respectfully invites the public to call and examine his specimens.  particular attention paid to obtaining correct likenesses of children.
