Christofle & Co’s Manufacture.  We inform our friends and the public at large, that we keep constantly on hand, a large assortment of all the goods which belong to the table service.  He table forks and spoons in particular, are warranted to wear five years, being in every day use, without loosing the appearance of real silver.

All the goods of this manufacturer are marked with the scale as at top of the advice.

Charles Christofle is not recorded in the 1850/1851; 1851/1852; or the 1852/1853 New York City Directories.  Christofle was a French gold and silversmith, daguerreotype plate manufacturer and electroplater.  At this time it is unknown who the agent was in New York.
